Friday events at the Stallion Inspection included the Third Round of the inspection of the young stallion candiates for approval. They were released inside of a fenced area and allowed to free canter. There was no chasing. The horse had to "show his stuff" on his own. They wanted to see regular, free flowing canter during this stage, among other things. The afternoon then included the stallion auction. Very exciting to watch the bidding go up on these fine young stallions. The evening events included magnificant demonstrations of all the ways that Friesians are asked to perform. Good show!
Of course... I had to buy some wooden shoes. They are really comfortable.
